Vitamin Supplements Recommendations

Do we really need vitamin supplements?
You often hear professionals say that if you eat a balanced diet there's no need to supplement.

And that may be right, IF you take your daily dosis of fresh, organic fruits, vegetables and diary.
But DO YOU?
If you do, then there's not much to worry about.

If you don't, then YES, you need vitamin supplements. You need them because the nutrient values in your fast food have decreased or are non-existant. We've depleted the soil we grow our food on, because we've switched over from quality to quantity.
That's why you may want to take supplements!

Nutritional supplements are a reliable and safe way to meet these important nutritional goals, provided that attention is given to the accepted limits of dosage. Too much of any nutrient can be toxic, and often can cause as much damage as having too little.
Mega-dosing is something that should always be discussed with a physician, not a salesperson.
The body is a delicately balanced system, and requires that balance to be maintained to function at its best.

Synthetic supplements are manipulated during the extraction process or by pure chemicals. They are, at best, about 50% as effective as natural vitamins. Therefore always watch out for them. If a choice is available, take natural supplements.

When recommending vitamin supplements or any other mineral or phytochemical for that matter, you're always confronted with the problem that modern medical science won't see the body as a whole, a holistic entity.
They rather divide it into seperate pieces that are controllable by experts, identify key nutrients and prescribe them.
This causes hypes in certain nutrients.

Nature isn't like that!
In nature, vitamins do not exist in isolation; they exist in complexes.

Therefore, the best alternative is to look for concentrated "food-based" vitamin complexes or "food-grown" supplements (not chemically manufactured).

But maybe the best option is to try and change your lifestyle and add fresh, organic fruits and vegetables to your daily menu!
